Restaurants: Mexican Hyannis
Mexican Food prepared by a native Mexican Chef
Hola! There is a brand-new Mexican Blue Moon shining over the Hyannis Main Street Waterfront Historic District today. The Blue Moon Mexican Restaurant is located at 430 Main Street, the former location of the Blue Moon Café. Blue Moon Mexican Restaurant is easy to find. We are directly across the street from the Sturges Charter School, next door to the Massachusetts Air and Space Museum, and diagonally across the street from the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum. The name "Blue Moon" is similar to its predecessor but that is where the similarity ends! Blue Moon Mexican Restaurant is all new and very different from many other Mexican Restaurants. The new owner is a real native Mexican chef and an all-new staff offering genuine Mexican cuisine, new menu. The dining room and bar are newly remodeled and redecorated too. But that is only the beginning! Have you ever actually tasted authentic Mexican cuisine? Probably not! That is unless you have eaten Mexican Food in a restaurant that is actually located in Mexico. But now is your chance to taste the real thing right here in Hyannis on its Historic Main Street. Chef Abraham Garcia was born and grew up in Mexico. As a boy he learned to cook the way real native Mexicans cook. There really is a difference! Chef Garcia cooks using his old family recipes that were passed down and taught to him while he was growing up. Over the years he became really good at cooking and after he moved to California, he decided to do what he knew best. Chef Garcia and his wife Patricia started a very popular Mexican food truck business in California which they operated for many years. When an opportunity opened up for him to join restauranter Aubrey Foster to bring his delightful native Mexican dishes to Hyannis, they were very excited for a chance to come and live and work on famous Cape Cod and expand their world with their own restaurant and full-service bar. They said, YES! While Chef Garcia is cooking in the Blue Moon’s kitchen preparing his old family recipes, he insists on all ingredients being very fresh. His assistants in the kitchen are trained by him personally. His wife Priscilla manages the dining room and the bar. She is very friendly and looks forward to meeting and serving you. Just in case there is someone in your party who has yet to discover the joys of real Mexican food – Blue Moon has an American Food menu too. We are Bilingual. See you soon or if you prefer. . .“Nos vemos pronto! Tambien hablamos espanol!”
